Thomas Kurzmann was named new CEO of Globe Trade Centre following the firing of long-time chief Alain Ickovics earlier this month. The move comes several months after the US fund Lone Star acquired the real estate developer. Kurzmann will officially take the reins on Aug. 12. He was given a three-year contract. Kurzmann has more than 25 years of experience in the property sector, covering construction, property investment and real estate financing. He graduated from the Federal Higher Technical Institute in Graz with a degree in civil engineering.
