The average price of new and secondhand homes in Spain rose 1.7 percent y-o-y in 2016, according to the latest data published by Tinsa. The most significant rise was reported in the capital and large cities, where prices increased by an average of 2.4 percent. The increase was attributed mainly to the atypical decline in the index in December. Prices increased by 0.6 percent y-o-y in the last three months of 2016.
