Just after being appointed by the president, the new transport minister and former director of Skanska Dan Ťok sharply criticized Czech Railways for its inability to deal with natural disasters. An ice storm earlier this week in the Czech Republic left hundreds of passengers trapped on trains, without information, for as much as 15 hours.
Ťok’s said his main priorities will be to appoint a new head of the National road and motorway directorate (ŘSD). He also plans to launch a new tender for the operator of the road toll system and to accelerate construction of the D11, D3 motorways and R35, R52 and R49 expressways, writes the server e15.
