Toll Brothers building student housing in Miami

8 October 2019

Toll Brothers has tapped Mary Cook Associates to design a 1,100-bed student housing project in Miami. The new development, Lapis, will serve students from Florida International University. The three-tower development will feature common amenities, including a social gathering space, study alcoves, a lounge and a Cuban coffee bar as well as a fitness center, conference and study rooms, a swimming pool, sundeck, hammock and cabanas. The Toll paid $19m for the 1.72-acre construction site late last year. The scheme is slated for completion by the beginning of the 2021 school year.
