Today sees the topping-out ceremony for the BERLINERHAUS building in Wolfsburg. Together with Lord Mayor Klaus Mohrs, project partners Mr Ulrich Höller, Managing Partner at ABG Real Estate Group, and Prof. Dr Falk Hecker, Managing Partner at Hecker GmbH, will conduct the ceremony for the landmark complex in the heart of the city. In an excellent location right next to the Berlin Bridge on a total area of approx. 22,000 sqm, a landmark office tower will be completed by mid-2022 together with a stylish design budget hotel, already rented out on a long-term basis at the end of 2020 to property investor and operator Premier Inn.
Klaus Mohrs, Lord Mayor of the City of Wolfsburg, stated: “This building complex, whose architectural design I personally find highly appealing, has been constructed as a new landmark in an important and city central location. It lies at a major junction for the city to the north and south of the Mittelland Canal, and can be seen from quite a distance to the west and east along the railway line. It marks a successful start to – and could almost be taken as a symbol of – the further development of our inner city to the east beyond the Berlin Bridge. Now that the transformation has started, other new buildings will soon follow.”
Ulrich Höller, Managing Partner at ABG Real Estate Group, said: “With the topping out ceremony for BERLINERHAUS today, which takes place as scheduled despite the pandemic, we are entering the home stretch towards the com-pletion of this landmark complex.
