Topping-out ceremony for the “Flößerhof” at the Mainz customs port

The “Flößerhof” building ensemble, developed by CA Immo and UBM in a joint venture, is taking shape on the “Hafeninsel” at Mainz’s customs port: Today, the residential complex with 89 condominiums and 3 townhouses with a total of 72 underground parking spaces was inspected in the presence of Mayor Michael Ebling topping-out ceremony celebrated. The completion of the project not far from Mainz’s Neustadt creative district is planned for the end of 2023.

The Flößerhof consists of six interconnected houses in a U-shaped perimeter block development and three harbor houses grouped around an attractively designed inner courtyard. Extensively greened, it forms the heart of the Flößerhof. The ensemble has a gross floor area of ​​8,200 square meters. Framed by the harbor basin and canals, the ensemble on the harbor island impresses with a 360-degree waterfront location and, with its clinker brick façade, reflects the history and historical architecture of the Mainz customs port.

Living on the Rhine, in the immediate vicinity of lively Mainzer Neustadt: The Flößerhof on a peninsula at the Mainzer Zollhafen offers new, urban living space far away from the conventional forms of big city living. The architecture by blauraum architects is rounded off by high sustainability standards: Energy-efficient facades and green roofs promote climate-friendly building operation.

Mayor Michael Ebling is delighted with the forward-looking living space in the Zollhafen district development: “The residential ensemble being created here with its diverse living concepts for young and old, the high level of energy efficiency and the pedestrian and bicycle-friendly planning is a successful example of the creation of sustainable and lively living space in the city.”

The concept of the Flößerhof, which is consistently geared towards sustainability, is also reflected in the pre-installation of e-charging stations for the 74 car parking space in the in-house underground car park and in the 92 bicycle parking spaces that are also located here. There are also 60 additional bicycle parking spaces in the outdoor area of ​​the ensemble.

For Christoph Jakoby, Head of Development CA Immo Frankfurt, who is responsible for the district development in the Zollhafen together with Stadtwerke Mainz AG, the Flößerhof fits perfectly into the new Zollhafen: “The Zollhafen combines urban, creative life and work with the special quality of stay at the Water.
