Pestana Groups’ president Dionisio Pestana has said the hotel sector in Portugal is now producing excellent results. He said his company’s revenues rose 10 percent in 2015 to €334m and that it made €20m in investments last year, allowing it to open the Pestana Alvor South Beach and the Pousada da Praça do Comércio hotels in Lisbon. It also completed the first phase of extension and renovation of the Pestana Vintage in Porto. The group’s revenues rose 10 percent in 2015 compared to 2014, and it maintains 87 hotels with 11,000 rooms in 16 countries. Pestana Group is aiming to grow its network to 100 hotels by 2018.
