TownePlace Suites Miami Airport West sold out of foreclosure

The repossessed TownePlace Suites Miami Airport West/Doral has been sold for $8.5 million to M10505 Doral Hotel Owner, an affiliate of Mast Capital based in Miami Beach. The 57,990 square-foot, 95-room hotel was built in 1999, but was seized in 2011 after U.S. Bank, representing a commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) trust, foreclosed on a $17.4 million mortgage from Moody National Realty Cos. Miami Lakes-based BankUnited provided a $9.8 million loan to the buyer to complete the sale.
