Trade deficit in Macedonia hits €996m

The Macedonian export volume between January and July amounted to €2.437bn, up 5.2 percent from the previous year, according to preliminary data published by the State Statistical Office.

The import volume for the same seven-month period was €3.433bn, up 4 percent y-o-y. The trade deficit was €996m. The country’s key trade partners between January and July were Germany, the UK, Serbia, Greece and Italy.
