Fortune Hotels sold TradeWinds Island Resort in St. Pete Beach, Florida, for $81.4m. The 31.4-acre property, which includes the TradeWinds Island Grand hotel and Rumfish Beach Resort, was sold to 1754 Properties Group. The resort has 796 rooms. “Our new investment will provide additional resources to further enhance the resort’s widespread appeal and position TradeWinds as one of the top beach resorts in the country,” said Joseph Smith, CEO and founder of 1754 Properties. “The future of the property is secure, and we are eager to move ahead and to continue improving the guest experience for our customers.”
