The European Union Transport Council has expanded the trans-European transport network (TEN-T) to Romanian territory with five routes, including Sebes Timisoara Tirgu Mures-Turda-Ungheni Iasi and Craiova-Calafat-Alexandria-Bucharest, says Money.ro.
The new routes will double the size of the road network in Romania and increasing it by 40% for railway transport.
With these decisions, access to financing will be simplified and the EU funding available for these projects will increase.
