The residential developer Trigema is planning the tallest building in the Czech Republic in Nove Butovice – Prague 13. The 135-meter building will offer primarily rental flats, the most prominent example yet of how the market is shifting away from its sales-only structure. “We’ve been working on the project for more that two years and the final design has gone through eight different drafts,” said Trigema’s chairman Marcel Soural. Lower levels will be rented out as offices while a cultural center is planned at its base. Soural says the project lies outside Prague’s protected zone that guards against the construction of highrises. The project, designed by Tomáš Císař from the Black n Arch studio, is expected to require an investment of over CZK 2bn.
