The four-star TTS Covasna hotel, opened in 2016 following a EUR 5.3 million investment by businessman Mircea Mihăilescu, ended last year with business of RON 8 million, and is expecting a 5 percent increase this year, according to company officials.
“The hotel has 58 rooms and a treatment base for cardiovascular recovery and peripheral circulation. 60 percent of those who check in come for recovery and the rest for spa packages or events,” said Gheorghe Adrian Onea, the hotel’s manager.
The company plans to build a new building with a spa, event rooms and luxury suites, according to the manager. The hotel reported a net profit of RON 1.4 million last year and operates at an average occupancy rate of 63 percent.
