1 August 2017

The Turkish investor Safet Saglam has acquired the clothing manufacturer Perkon, based in Velika Plana. The factory had been in bankruptcy for years before the sale was arranged, with Safet Saglam having placed the only one bid that offered to pay the required price. This turned out to b 50 percent lower than its estimated value.

The new owner hopes to revive production and employ 400 workers. As a result of the sale, former employees at Perkon will receive unpaid salaries.
