May may be a turning point in the coronavirus pandemic, says Paweł Borys, president of the Polish Development Fund (PFR). In his opinion, by then all those most vulnerable to infection should be vaccinated and the reason to close companies will disappear.
“We have a vaccination program, it seems that May may be such a turning point in this pandemic from the perspective of these companies. Because it seems that by May we have a chance to vaccinate all seniors and those most vulnerable to infection, and then this basic reason will disappear. to close companies in an attempt to lower the mortality rate, because these people will simply be protected, “Borys said in an interview with RMF FM.
He stressed that there are studies that clearly show that restaurants, hotels and social meetings are “the places where the threat is greatest”.
Restaurants, bars and pubs are still closed. It is only possible to order take-away meals.
Today it was reported that the daily number of vaccinations against COVID-19 was 124,714, and a total of 905,457 vaccinations have been carried out, the Ministry of Health reported. The number of new and confirmed cases of infection was 6,789.
