24 July 2017

Construction is to begin on new industrial halls in parts of Tuzla that were previously used to dispose of various types of waste materials. It’s hoped that the new development, Business Zone Kreka North, will prove attractive to SME’s. The land has lain dorman and neglected for years but up to 29 buildings could be constructed on it in the coming years. The city has invested €350,000 of public funds into the construction of needed infrastructure for the project, which is seen as unique in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The city will be rent space in the new complex to all production companies interested in doing so, with three agreements due to be concluded in the coming days. Kabil, a bakery and pastry producer, the toys exporter Koala Automotive and Progetti Bosnia (shoes producer) are expected to sign 40 year lease contracts. City officials expect 30 new companies to end up establishing business in the new zone.
