Twitter signed a lease renewal on its space at 249 West 17th Street, a boutique class A office property in New York City’s Chelsea district. The social media giant’s lease now runs through April 2030. Originally built in 1909, the property includes a six-story western tower and interconnected 12-story eastern tower. In addition to Twitter, the complex also houses Room & Board’s multi-story, high-end modern furniture showroom and a FlyWheel Cycle Studio.
“We are very pleased to extend our relationship with Twitter at 249 West 17th Street,” said Nelson Mills, CEO of Columbia Property Trust, the property owner, “and we’re delighted that this fully renovated and highly amenitized property, located in Manhattan’s premier neighborhood for leading tech and media companies, will serve as their New York home for years to come.”
