Beginning with the next year, two of the largest global travel groups in the world, TUI and ITS, will stop bringing tourists to Romania.
They claim to be unhappy with the way Romania’s image abroad has deteriorated lately because of the political situation.
The two groups are also annoyed because they claim a number of promises made by Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism (MDRT) have not been honored.
These include pledges by the ministry to promote Romania in Germany to the tune of €3m, but the companies claim nothing has come of these commitments, according to the Mediafax press agency.
