The University of Miami has signed a long-term 18,300 square-foot sublease for office space at Flagler Station in Northwest Miami-Dade County. The 10.5 million sqf business park is located at 9675 NW 117th Avenue. The new sublease enables the University to consolidate space and reposition non-medical staff to a location off the downtown medical campus. Flagler Station has its own dedicated Florida Turnpike interchange, and features on-site property management, restaurants and hotels. Savills Studley’s Senior Vice President, Branch Manager Robert Orban and Associate Tyler Wyant represented UM in the 8.5-year subleasing transaction. The sublessor, Brink’s, Inc., was represented by Keith Edelman and Scott Goldstein of Avison Young.
“This space is a perfect fit for the University’s needs,” stated Savills Studley’s Senior Vice President,Robert Orban, “and the fact that we were able to secure fully built-out space with furniture, fixtures and equipment at such an attractive sublease rate made it a win-win for both parties.”
