The Croatian Employment Service, CES, registered 151,368 unemployed in August, down 0.04 percent on a monthly basis and up 32 percent on an annual basis. Although this annual increase is still large, there are signs of a slight slowdown in unemployment growth when looking at previous months. According to the data during August this year, a total of 12,362 people were newly registered in the unemployment register, which is 9.1 percent more than in the same month last year.
