The Q1 unemployment rate in Macedonia was 24.5 percent, according to the State Statistical Office. Of the country’s 945,821 eligible workers, 714,435 were employed, while 231,386 were unemployed in the first quarter.
A little more than 66 percent of those who were unemployed were men, while 33.7 percent were women. By comparison, 60.1 percent of those who were employed were men, while 39.9 percent were women.
