Unicorn Systems has bought 100 percent of TelcoOSS, which was formed by spin-off of Intelis’ division focusing on telecommunications network management solutions. TelcoOSS has long been supplying solutions for central network registration to CETIN and O2 Czech Republic. Unicorn announced it in a press release today, he did not state the price.
The reason for the sale of the telecommunications division is, according to Intelis CEO Miroslav Burda, an effort to raise funds to accelerate the development of the Energy division, especially in the construction and maintenance of energy networks, where Intelis sees its future. “We believe that Unicorn is a company that will build and further develop the solution that we have been building for years. Unicorn has the experience and strength to succeed with this product abroad, which would be difficult for us,” he said.
According to Karel Peška from Unicorn Systems, structured information on technological assets is one of the most valuable assets of every network operator. As the pressure to adapt new telecommunications technologies increases, so does the pressure on the robustness, speed, and flexibility of the systems that support these processes. “Through the acquisition, we have strengthened our competencies, which will enable us to better support the success of our telecommunications customers’ business and at the same time help improve the quality of telecommunications services for all end customers,” he added.
Through the acquisition, Unicorn expands its possibilities in the field of construction, registration and operation of telecommunication networks. Its solutions support key processes for the efficient construction and use of modern telecommunications networks, including 5G mobile networks. As in the energy sector, it wants to provide services not only in the Czech Republic, but also in other countries.
