The Italian group UniCredit, which holds the fifth largest bank on the Romanian market by assets, reported for the first quarter of 2021 a consolidated net profit of EUR 26 million from operations in Romania , increasing by 81.7 percent compared to the gain in the first quarter of 2020.
In comparison, in Q1 / 2020 UniCredit reported for the Romanian bank a profit of about EUR 15 million, decreasing by 64 percent compared to Q1 / 2019. For the whole year 2020, UniCredit’s profit on the local market was EUR 94 million, 28.7 percent lower than in 2019.
