UniCredit CAIB Securities, part of UniCredit Group and one of the most active firms on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, announced it will leave the Romanian brokerage market by the end of the year.
Ioana Tanase, CEO of UniCredit CAIB Securities, is labeling this a strategic decision made at the top level. UniCredit CAIB Securities is the fourth largest broker on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, with transactions worth RON 1.13bn.
The company’s announcement comes one month after ING said it was withdrawing from the Romanian market.
