UniCredit launches Prague HQ sale and lease back

23 October 2015

The UniCredit headquarters at Nám. Republiky in Prague 1 is on the market. The estimated value of the office building is CZK 790m, according to Hospodářské noviny, which notes that this is roughly what was paid for a historical building the state recently auctioned off nearby. The transaction will be a sale-and-lease-back, as the bank wants to remain in the building for at least another 10 years. The new owner could collect CZK 36m in annual rent for UniCredit. The six story building with 5,500 sqm of leasable space was built in 1998 and was given a facelift in 2011. It’s the bank’s last building in Prague, as the company has already sold off the remainder of its portfolio, including the Živnobanka building on Na Příkopě.
