US Lear Corporation, an automotive and electrical systems supplier, plans to add a few hundreds jobs in the city of Legnica, where a new factory is expected to be opened in the place of the old desolated hall. If successful, the US company could be operating its fourth factory across Poland, including those in Tychy, Jaroslawiec and Mielec. The Americans are currently in talks on the purchase of the Legnica property, according to Polish media reports that claim an offer of PLN 20m is on the table. “Lear Corporation wants to use the hall in Legnica, which was planned for Lenovo. The company will invest almost PLN 20m and create hundreds of jobs. It’s already obtained a permit to operate in the Legnica Special Economic Zone – the source said of Puls Biznesu daily said.
