United Technologies Corporation has won its bid to lift a land use restriction from Palm Beach County. The land, which was earmarked for biotech companies only, has been changed so U.T.C. can build a 250,000 square foot facility regional headquarters in Palm Beach Gardens. Located off Intersate 95 and Doanld Ross Road, U.T.C. is the parent company to others such as Pratt & Whitney, Carrier and Sikorsky. The company excepts to create around 450 jobs and have a five year economic impact of $662 million.
