Valeo’s expansion in the Czech Republic will continue, following news that it will be expanding its production facility in Žebrak with a new 4,000 sqm plant through a CZK 450m investment. The new facility will produce 1.2 million cooling units per year for electric cars. Valeo develops and produces cooling components for batteries of numerous sizes and types of cars. The company currently employs 850 people in Žebrak and more than 4,500 in its five Czech factories. Valeo set up its development center in Prague in 2002 and built a test course in Milovice for automobile sensors and self-driving systems in 2013.
