Value of Polish loans granted to microenterprises increased by 12.6% y / y in January

Banks granted micro-entrepreneurs more loans in terms of value (+12.6 y / y), but less in terms of numbers (-5.8% y / y) in January 2021 – i.e. 10 thousand . loans for a total amount of PLN 1.355 billion, the Credit Information Bureau (BIK) has announced.

In numerical terms, banks granted (-36.2%) fewer investment loans and (-14.7%) less overdrafts. However, more (+ 7%) working capital loans. It increased compared to January 2021. . the value of working capital loans granted by (+ 20.9%) and overdraft facilities by (+ 17.8%). The value of investment loans granted in January 2022 decreased by (-6.6%), it was announced.

The January reading of the Microenterprise Loans Quality Index was 4.67% in terms of value. Product quality indices in January 2022 were as follows: investment loans 2.94%, overdrafts 3.16%, and revolving loans 8.55%. In January 2022, compared to December 2021, the overall Quality Index deteriorated (increased) by (+0.49). The index slightly improved (fell), while compared to January 2021 by (-0.01). It is still at a safe level.

For 10,000 loans granted to micro-entrepreneurs in January this year. 4.6k contracted by service companies (45.4%) and 2,500 commercial (25.2%). Thus, a total of 71% of loans granted in January 2021 are allocated to these two sectors.

Out of the total amount of PLN 1.355 billion, banks granted PLN 484 million (35.7%) loans to companies from the service sector and PLN 380 million (28%) to micro-entrepreneurs operating in trade. In January 2022, financing of these two sectors amounted to 63.7 % of the total value of loans granted to microenterprises In January 2022, the lowest y / y declines in the number of loans granted concerned construction financing (-1.1%). According to the Quality Index, the worst (the highest level of the index) was the repayment of loans by service companies in January 2022 – the value of the Index was 4.94%. Compared to the previous month, the Index deteriorated (increased) by (+0.37). The best (lowest) reading in January this year. recorded the Quality Index of companies from the construction sector and it amounted to 4.32%. Compared to December 2021, the index deteriorated (increased) by (+0.43). Compared to January 2021, the index deteriorated in two sectors: production by (+0.69) and construction by (+0.52).
