Variosystems AG will open a new factory in Ludbreg, between Varazdin and Koprivnica, in northern Croatia, later this year. The Swiss-American electronics service company has leased a 800 sqm facility where will employ about 100 people in the first stage of operation. In the next two to three years, the company is planning to build a new plant and hire a few hundred more people. It intends to invest about €10m in Croatia. Variosystems has plants in the US, Switzerland, Sri Lanka and China. It has more than 1,600 employees.
