The Sdružení VCES-MODOS will build the new transport control center in Malovanka-Prague 6. With a bid of CZK 501m, the consortium placed third in the construction tender in May. It is unclear why the city chose not to sign a contract with the winner, Sdružení Malovanka, whose bid was CZK 477m. The center will oversee transport around the city and the Blanka tunnel, which is scheduled to open in September. The city first announced plans to build the transport control center in 2012 but did not have funds to finance it. Blanka tunnel operations will be controlled from local supervisory centers until the central control center is completed. The center will be located above the mouth of Strahov tunnel in Malovanka, where it will connect to the city ring road.
