Verdi Fashion S.P.A. is scheduled open a shoe factory in Ub, western Serbia this spring. Construction of the new facility should be completed by the end of May. The Italian company is planning to hire 200 people to work at the site, which is close to the planned Belgrade-South Jadran highway. Verdi Fashion invested about €1m in the new factory, which is going up on a 20 ha plot in the Stublenica-Ub industrial zone.
