VGP and Allianz Real Estate are expanding their deposit portfolio in Romania

Belgian real estate developer VGP and Allianz Real Estate, the real estate investment division of the German insurance giant Allianz, have expanded their deposit portfolio on the Romanian market.

The two companies completed the acquisition of a portfolio of 13 logistics buildings in four countries, in a transaction valued at EUR 364 million. The 13 warehouses are located in Spain (7), Italy (4), the Netherlands (1) and Romania (1).

VGP is present in Romania with a network of five industrial parks, in Timișoara, Sibiu, Brașov, Arad and Bucharest, which are in different stages of development. The real estate developer bought, in 2020, land in Romania with a total area of 513,000 sqm for future projects. Last year, the Belgians completed the acquisition of a land of about 25 hectares in Ștefăneștii de Jos for the first logistics park of the company in the Bucharest area.
