VGP, a European owner, manager and developer of semi-industrial and logistics real estate, is commencing the construction of additional warehouse halls B and C at VGP Park Ústí nad Labem City soon after the first facility is commissioned. Building “B” is being prepared for the major Czech logistics company RTR-TRANSPORT A LOGISTIKA s.r.o. The company will lease 10,787 sqm of warehouse and office space out of a total of more than 29,000 sqm. The new hall will be built in the BREEAM Very Good green certification. The planned completion date is in the 4th quarter of this year.
The city of Ústí nad Labem has a rich industrial history and an abundance of skilled workers, making it attractive for business in the logistics and industrial sectors. Due to its proximity to end customers, plus only 2 km from the D8 motorway connecting Prague and Dresden, VGP Park Ústí nad Labem City is particularly suited for last-mile logistics. The expansion of companies into this area will create dozens of new jobs, contributing to employment and economic growth in the region.
The Czech company RTR-TRANSPORT A LOGISTIKA was founded in 1991 to provide comprehensive logistics services. To this end, it uses its own fleet of trucks. The company consists of more than 100 employees.
“The hall in VGP Park Ústí nad Labem City will significantly increase the volume of our logistics services offer within the region of Ústí n/L, where we have long operated a logistics centre in the city district of Krásné Březno. The new premises, implemented in BREEAM green certification, will enable us to provide highly efficient and sustainable logistics operations for all our clients using modern technologies. We are pleased that this new hall is being built for us by the developer VGP, with whom we have been cooperating for 20 years,” comments Pavel Kříž, Managing Director of RTR-TRANSPORT A LOGISTIKA s.r.o.
In VGP Park Ústí nad Labem City, which is gradually being built on a brownfield site near the city centre, a total of three halls are being built on a total area of almost 11 hectares, with a minimum green BREEAM Very Good certification and more than 52,000 m2 of lettable space. Hall “A” is currently completed and fully occupied by Exyte Technology and Bosal Aftermarket Europe. Halls “B” and “C” are under construction and will offer more than 29,000 m2 of lettable space. The park is just a 3-minute drive from the city centre and a 5-minute walk from the train station. There are also several public transport stops (buses and trolleybuses) in close proximity. The building will have parts of the facade planted with greenery. A retention basin has been implemented within the park to maintain a constant water level, complete with an insect hotel.
