VI Group broke ground on Matadorka, a residential project in the Petržalka district of Bratislava. The developer’s plan is to build 335 flats in the former Matador factory area. Matadorka will consist of two parts: a 29-story, 85m tall tower accompanied by another building of just 6 storeys. Between them, a garage with 373 parking spots is to be built with one underground and four above ground levels (plus a playground on the roof). The ground floor will offer 15 retail units and a kindergarten totaling 1,200 sqm. Sales for the scheme were launched in January and VI Group says 110 units have been sold at prices ranging from €84,000 to €430,000. Prices run from €1,700 on up to €3,000 per sqm. The developer has begun demolition of the old factory and hopes to be able to complete the entire project by the end of 2019.
