Vietnamese businessmen are increasingly investing in Czech real estate assets, with the latest example being the purchase of the U Zlaté lodě building in Prague’s Lesser Quarter (Malá Strana) in the historic center of Prague. The 17th century building was acquired from Martin Nulíček, a former co-owner of the Czech food producer Hamé. Michael Hynšt of Svoboda & Williams told e15 that with Vietnamese banks now operating in the country and increasing numbers of wealthy Vietnamese investors active in the Czech Republic, more investments of this type can be expected. Another Vietnamese investor, LHDI, owned by Hoang Le, is investing into the expansion of Yasmin hotel on Politických vezňů street in Prague 1, writes e15. Nguyen Hoang Long started recently a new chain of vegan restaurants and the Vegan Land grocery, having opened the first store in the Fénix shopping mall in Prague Vysočany.
