The Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orban has congratulated Robert Fico in a letter as a result of Fico’s win on the Slovak parliamentary elections. Orbán stressed that good relations with Slovakia were essential and that he would seek to improve the countries’ strategic linking. This included the continuation of what he called a successfully existing infrastructure and energy relationship. Orbán ensured Fico that the Hungarian government is always open and ready to discuss the issues and problems concerning the Hungarian minority in Slovakia.
