The Serbian government awarded Vinci Airports a 25-year concession to run Nikola Tesla airport in Belgrade. The deal is worth €1.46bn. The French infrastructure group will pay the Serbian government €417m, while the shareholders of the airport will get €84m. The annual concession fee will be between €4.4m and €15.1m, according to government officials. Vinci will cover costs to renovate the airport’s main runway. Vinci operates on three continents and has 35 airports in France, Japan, Portugal, the Dominican Republic, Chile, Brazil and Cambodia. Vinci plans to make Belgrade its leading airport in Southeast Europe.
