The Nicolae Grigorescu – Splai Dudescu road that will connect the Dristor and Vitan neighborhoods should have been completed this year. However, just 20 percent of the work has been completed because it’s run out of funding. The construction cost is about €22m.
Work on the project began in March 2010, and should have completed in fall. The work has blocked because General Counsel of Bucharest Municipality hasn’t approved the RON 35m (€8m) estimated to be necessary to move out residents living in the new road’s path.
