Vodohospodárske stavby wins permit for Sputnik resi in Bratislava

11 January 2016

Vodohospodárské stavby has secured the construction permit for its residential project Sputnik in Bratislava’s Ružinov district, following a bumpy planning process. The developer first secured a construction permit for the project in 2008, but this was successfully contested by the residents in buildings around the project, which is located at the intersection of Ivanska and Vrakunska streets. They argued that the city had sold the developer a plot that was intended for greenery and as noise protection. The court cancelled the construction permit in 2013 and ruled that the permitting process should be repeated. The construction office issued the new construction permit on condition that the project has adequate ventilation and noise insulation. The project will offer 93 flats and retail space on the ground floor.
