Volksbank closing 11 branches

Volksbank Hungary announced it will close 11 of its branches Dec. 3. The branches that will close are underutilized and their activities will be redirected to other locations, according to Volksbank, adding that the decision is part of its long-term plan to better serve current market demand. Volksbank plans to maintain a strong presence in Hungary, especially in Budapest and in other big cities. Following the closures, the bank will have 51 branches in its regional network.
