Volkswagen is expanding its Bratislava plant with the addition of a 34,000 sqm dispatching center for trucks. The center will will offer parking for 148 trucks and 30 buses as well as amenities for truck drivers, including a cafe and bathrooms. Scheduled for completion in late summer, the new dispatching center will be part of the new logistic center Volkswagen started building in October. The car manufacturer is investing €150m into the 125,000 sqm project that will be run by an external logistics operator. In July, Volkswagen plans to open a new parkhouse for employees with 1,200 spots on three levels.
