Volkswagen is planning to invest an additional €100m over the next seven years into its manufacturing plant in Bratislava’s Devínská Nová Ves district. The car manufacturer is also planning to add 300 more jobs to the local labor market by 2017. This kind of large-scale investment pledge will make land acquisitions and the permitting process easier for the company. Volkswagen has not revealed any specific details about the investment. It only said that this is part of a wider plan to invest a total of €1.5bn in Slovakia between 2012 and 2016.
