Zagreb’s Vrapce psychiatric clinic secured €9m from the EU to help fund its new forensic psychiatry center. Construction started 10 months ago, with completion expected in June. The new 4,800 sqm center will include 70 beds and 15 chairs in a day hospital where criminals sentenced to a psychiatric facility would be treated.

The agreement was signed by EU Funds and Regional Development Minister Tomislav Tolusic, Vrapce hospital chief of staff Vlaho Juhic and the head of the central agency for the financing of EU programs and projects, Tomislav Petric.
