VW opens ID. Store in Dresden

15 May 2020

Volkswagen has opened its first-ever ID. “store” in Dresden. The manufacturer’s new electric car can’t, of course, be driven off, since the store is in fact more of an information point for people to get more information about the vehicle through virtual rooms. The car will officially go on sale on June 16 and customers will be able to configure the car in the store, at which point standard retail trade practices will then take over. “We have started with the launch of the ID. Stores, we are focusing primarily on locations with a high number of visitors, at which we will present the topic of e-mobility in an inspiring way for everyone,” says Holger Santel, Head of Sales & Marketing Germany at the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand. The store in Dresden will be there permanently, but VW is planning to open a pop-up store in Munich’s plant district at the end of July.
