Wage growth for full-time employees in Hungary dropped to 9 percent y-o-y in March, according to recent data published by the Central Statistical Office (KSH). This is the fourth consecutive month that wage growth decreased. The average gross monthly wage in absolute terms stood at HUF 400,400 in March. The average monthly wage in the business sector, including state-owned companies, increased by 9 percent to HUF 419,000, while the average gross wage in the public sector grew by 7.1 percent to HUF 388,000, according to the KSH data.
