Warsaw’s central station to overgo second renovation

13 February 2015

The Polish State Railways (PKP) is preparing to renovate Warsaw’s central station, according to local media reports. The station was already refurbished a couple of years ago, but PKP is reportedly planning a second overhaul. According to the business website forsal.pl, the state-run investor has already selected a general contractor to oversee the project. No further details were disclosed.

In an effort to streamline its development process, PKP has recently established an investment vehicle called Xcity. The company will cooperate with developers to commercialize its enormous land bank. PKP investment director Maciej Król will head the new division.
