Ten companies from Austria, Italy, South Africa and Russia are expected to make substantial investments in Sabac, western Serbia, by the end of this year. The total investment volume is estimated at €25m, which should add 400 new jobs to the local labor force.
The investors include Vopachel which started operating in Sabac in 2015 and now plans to expand its plant by 1,500 sqm. Fox-Pak, meanwhile, is planning to build a 2,000 sqm factory in the city where it will produce packaging for pet food.
