The real estate developer Warehouses De Pauw continues its investments on the Romanian market. The company has completed investments of EUR 69 million in 2021 representing 128,553 sqm built in Ștefăneștii de Jos, Cluj, Craiova, Paulești and is working on projects of EUR 92 million.
The company will develop new projects in Buzau, Deva-Calan, Roman, Slatina, Timisoara. Beneficiaries of the new projects include Metro, Auchan, Profi, Pirelli. The Slatina warehouse for the Pirelli manufacturer will be expanded by approximately 25,000 sqm, based on a 15-year lease. The investment, with an estimated budget of EUR 15 million, is planned to be completed in the first quarter of 2023.
Belgian investors have so far invested over EUR 1 billion in Romanian properties, most of them before the crisis, but have future projects involving hundreds of millions of euros.
