The Belgian developer of logistics spaces WDP plans to invest almost EUR 80 million in Romania until the beginning of 2024. The money goes to new projects or expansions in Dolj, Timiş and Sibiu counties.
The developer will build a logistics center on an area of 6,200 sqm in the commune of Almaj in Dolj county, with an investment of EUR 4.5 million. The building will function as a distribution center for the company Erkut, a supplier of the Ford car manufacturer, with a factory in Craiova.
“The property is expected to be available in the second quarter of 2023. From that moment, Erkut will enter into a seven-year lease,” the WDP representatives said.
In Romania, WDP counts a total of 65 properties, with a cumulative area of approximately 1.5 million sqm and a value of over EUR 1.1 billion.
